Pastor Moussa was born in Syria. Both of his parents were devoted to the Christian faith. At the age of fourteen, he immigrated to America, where he finished high school in Allentown Pennsylvania. He went to college to study engineering, but the Lord had a better plan for his life. As one of his friends shared with him about Christ, His atoning death, and His gift of salvation, he received Christ as his Lord and savior. While he was studying engineering, the Lord heavily laid on his heart the call to the ministry. And while he was reading in the book of Isaiah “ Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, whom shall I send and who will go for us ? ” (Is. 6:8). These words became so real to him. It was like God saying “Joseph Moussa, if you are not going to go to your people who speak your language, who then will go? ”. In obedience to the Lord’s calling he knelt and prayed “ Here am I Lord, send me ”.

Pastor Moussa went to Marietta Bible College in Marietta, Ohio, where he got his BA in Pastoral Theology. In 1988 He went back to his home country Syria, to reach his people with the Gospel message .

Pastor Moussa met his wife Dr. Thana Jarjour - Moussa at the church in Syria. Thana also came from a Christian family.
At that time Thana was working in her own Dental Clinic after finishing her Doctorate degree in Dental Surgery. Thana's goal is to serve God with her gifts. Dr. Thana has several degrees in computer skills and a Doctorate degree in Biblical Studies in Christian Administration from Graduate School of Divinity. She does the technology ministry at the church and the Students Ministry, besides administrating special activities. She is also an author of several Arabic Christian Songs.

Thana and Joseph spent nine years in Syria . They ministered in the city of Damascus for one year and in the city of Homs for eight years. They also served at nearby villages. Thana has passion for children and teen ministry, she worked on translating Sunday School Curriculum into the Arabic Language for many years. God richly blessed their ministry in the country of Syria. As a result about seven thousand Arabic New Testaments were distributed ; about fifty believers were baptized, (however much more than that number were saved). Three young men who were called to the full time ministry went to Bible colleges and got their training.

Pastor Moussa, a heart for Church Planting and TV ministry

In 1998 the Lord led pastor Moussa to plant an Arabic Church in Rockville MD, just outside of Washington DC, to reach the Arabic community that lives in Washington DC, Southern MD, and Northern VA, which estimate more than 300,000 persons . This church (the Arabic Gospel Church) now has a satellite TV pogrom in Arabic (Peace with God) that reaches America, Canada, and Mexico.

On August 2001 the Lord used pastor Moussa and his wife Dr. Thana to plant another Arabic Church in York, Pennsylvania. God richly blessed the new work. The ministry grew from a few numbers to 60-70 in attendance. More than twenty-five persons accepted Christ. God raised a wonderful group of leaders who have the potential of reaching the region and beyond for Christ. Four young men from the church are being called to full time ministry. God gave pastor Moussa a vision to reach the Arabic communities in the States, and throughout the Middle East where more the 300 million persons speak the Arabic language. This vision is based on Christ’s purpose for New Testament church.
